Elizabeth, NJ- (4-22-2017) – Raul Cob Ferrer, a talented chef who is on the list of the 20 most influential chefs in Spain, announced this April that he will be part of the Advisory Council of Paella for the World Foundation.
Cob Ferrer made his announcement from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he now serves as Executive Chef of Savco Hospitality, one of the most important gastronomic firms in the United States.
The Valencian chef is also in charge of Aventura, a tapas restaurant owned by the conglomerate Savco Hospitality which, according to Condé Nast, should be classified among the best new restaurants in the Midwest.
Raúl Cob Ferrer has received for two consecutive years (2015 and 2016) a Chef Award for his outstanding role in the international dissemination of Valencian gastronomy and Paella in particular. In order to stimulate such performance, the Wikipaella organization also awarded him the Chef Prize distinction and appointed him Paella Ambassador in Qatar and Thailand.
According to Rodolfo González-Almaguer, Executive Director of Paella for the World Foundation, next year 2018 Chef Cob Ferrer will also receive the Paella for the World Award during a special ceremony in New Jersey.
“For Paella for the World Foundation it is of great satisfaction that Chef Raúl Cob is part of our Advisory Council,” said González-Almaguer. “He is a very talented professional, charismatic and of course a champion of the Paella and the Mediterranean Diet in general.”
Last year, Chef Cob Ferrer was part of the Jury in the International Paella Contest of Sueca, in Valencia, the oldest and most prestigious of its kind in the world.
Valencian Chef Raul Cob Ferrer also confirmed to the media that he will travel to the Garden State to be present at the International Mediterranean Food & Wine Festival, scheduled to take place in the City of West New York on June 11th .
